What is recorded here
Detached six-bay three-storey former maltings store, built c.1820, with modern factory extension to south. Set within its own grounds. Pitched corrugated-iron roof. Random coursed stone walls. Square-headed window openings with yellow brick surrounds. Bars to windows. Segmental-headed door opening with replacement timber door.
This once impressive building has been altered to incorporate a commercial factory outlet, yet it still has some of its original architectural features, such as its yellow brick window surrounds. The building still plays an important economic function as it has done in the past.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
