The Gladstone Inn in Townparks kept its old timber shopfront when it became a pub. A dangerous bit of camouflage: ‘I'm only going to the shop’ could leave a family waiting six hours for a loaf.
Corner-sited end-of-terrace six-bay two-storey house, c.1870, with original timber shopfront, c.1880. Now also in use as a public house.
