Depicted on the 1841 ed. OS 6-inch map as a square-shaped earthwork which is annotated 'Templeone' which may suggest the site of a church. Church site (KE029-042001) located 240m to WSW. Hickson (1880, 362-3) recorded that 'Lismore House occupying part of its site; a little to the east of the house are the ruins of two or three tiny oratories or churches (KE029-042001-), and a well called Tubbernataggart, i.e. "the priest's well"; but the grass-grown foundations, with a few scattered stones, are all that remain of the former, since an enterprising Scotch (Lowland) farmer carted away the rest of the sacred buildings a few years ago to build his fences, although there was a limestone quarry near at hand'. Listed by Hurley (1979, 93) as 'Templeone' as an early church site.
In pasture, on moderate N facing slope with good views. Raised sub-circular shaped area (dims. c. 39m N-S x 33m E-W ) enclosed by an earthen bank (top Wth 0.6m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 1.3m) with entrance gap (Wth 3.1m) at NNW. Interior slopes slightly to N. A raised sub-rectangular shaped area (dims. 11.75m x 9.2m) is visible in NE side of interior built against the base of the enclosing bank, which could be the remains of a possible church site.
