Templemoneen Church (in ruins)

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 21 December 2009 Revised by: J. Farrelly Rectangular structure (int. dims. 13.7m x 6.4m; wall T 0.9m) aligned E-W, of uncoursed, mortared granite boulders. Appended to E gable is small chancel (4.3m N-S; 3.1m E-W). Entrances not identified. Within nave is top stone of narrow round-headed light. Low earthworks in small unenclosed graveyard (CW009-014003-) to S and W of church.
