Freestanding square-profile moulded concrete telephone box, c.1950, now disused. Painted walls, moulded concrete cap and plinth, with fixed small pane glazed panels and glazed timber door.

Telephone boxes of this kind are becoming increasingly rare throughout Ireland. Such boxes are reminders of the time prior to the widespread installation of domestic landlines and ownership of mobile phones. The simple form of the telephone box is enhanced by the decorative lettering and the small panes of glazing. This well-kept telephone box is an interesting and attractive feature of the streetscape.
