Sweathouse in Drumshinnagh

Not listed in the SRM (1989) or the RMP (1995). Not marked on any edition of the OS 6-inch map. According to local information, there was a circular mud-walled sweathouse (diam. c. 1.5m; H c. 1m) beside the river, with its door facing the river. It was used in the lifetime of the informant's father to cure aches and pains and those using it plunged into the river afterwards. There are now no visible remains of this sweathouse (pers. comm.
