Sula Sgeir

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Sula Sgeir as Chapel (medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Sula Sgeir is associated with Saint Moluag, a 6th-century Irish monk and missionary linked to the founding of early Christian sites in the Hebrides. Traditionally, the small islet was considered a place of pilgrimage and penance, with local folklore suggesting that walking its narrow, rocky path was a devotional act to seek spiritual cleansing or divine favor.
