Subluminal is a sea cliff in Dorset composed of Jurassic limestone, approximately 150 to 200 million years old, formed through sedimentary deposition in a shallow marine environment. It is notable for its exposure of the Portland Stone Formation, a key building material historically used in architecture across southern England.
