What is recorded here
A single stake cut using a flat metal blade. The stake was exposed on the field surface close to the drain edge. It sat at a 45º angle and retained a worked end, a chisel point made using a flat metal blade. The top was milled and its original length is unknown. The stake was sampled for radiocarbon dating and wood species analysis. (Bermingham 2014)
