What is recorded here
A piece of brushwood (L 0.55m; diam. 0.03m) with a metal-cut wedge point. It was situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
