Twenty-four metres of broken roundwood still mark an east-west path across the County Meath bog. The woods are small, no wider than a child’s wrist, and milling has snapped them into half-metre pieces. They lie among Eriophorum and raised peat, not buried but exposed, as if the land opened its palm to show what hands once laid there.

A linear roundwood and brushwood trackway made up of a series of longitudinally laid roundwoods and brushwood elements identified at three separate locations. It is classified as a Class 2 Togher and was exposed on the surface. The roundwoods can occur singly and all have been subject to milling damage. The construction elements are light with diameters ranging from 0.05m to 0.08m. Where exposed, the roundwoods are broken along their length from milling and the longest individual piece is 0.5m.
