Structure

A piece of brushwood (L 0.3m; diam. 0.051m) cut to a chisel point, evident in the drain face. It is situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
