Structure

A piece of brushwood (L 0.2m; diam. 0.03m) with a metal-cut chisel point in the drain face. It is situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with some natural wood. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
