Structure

Six pieces of heavy brushwood, laid two pieces deep (Wth 1.2m; D 0.16m), in opposing drain faces. The brushwood is unevenly spaced but is orientated NNE-SSW. Woodworking is evidenced by one piece with a metal-cut chisel point. The site is situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
