Structure

Two stakes and a split timber fragment widely spaced on the field surface (L 0.97m; Wth 0.45m; D 0.02m min.). The condition of the stakes is good but the timber has been damaged and is very desiccated. The site lies in moderate to well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2003. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
