What is recorded here

A deposit (L 4.55m; Wth 1.1m; D 0.32m) of sparsely laid brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.05m; L 0.1-2.6m) and twigs was orientated N-S. The uppermost layer (D 0.2m max.) consisted of 26 pieces of brushwood, laid up to three pieces deep. Beneath it was an irregular deposit of twigs and occasional brushwood laid three to four pieces deep. The wood was in a moderate condition and several metal-cut toolmarks were present (Moore and O’Connor 2009a, 26, EDC 16). Compiled by: Mary Tunney based on data kindly supplied by Caitríona Moore.
