What is recorded here
In Derryvella bog, located c. 20m E of TS048-066---- and was visible in the centre of the field on its surface. This structure (Wth 0.68m; D 0.13m; L 2.9m) was composed of a number of randomly spaced brushwood and roundwood elements (diam. 0.03-013m; average L 0.24m). The majority appeared to be orientated NE-SW and all were in a moderate state of preservation. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified sphagnum peat with moderate eriophorum and calluna inclusions. A single piece of wood was identified as ash.
