Structure

Over twenty-six fragmented pieces of light brushwood and occasional twigs on the field surface (L 1.14m min.; Wth 0.88m min.; D 0.03m). The wood is irregularly laid, in poor condition and has been damaged and partially displaced by milling. It is set in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with occasional Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
