Structure

An isolated alder post (L 0.42m; diam. 0.08m) worked to a chisel point and inserted into the peat at an angle of 45°. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
