Structure

A roundwood (L 0.13m; diam. 0.06m) in the peat face of a private bog adjacent to the Bord na Móna bog. The roundwood had a metal-cut chisel point. The NGR for this site is an approximation based on preliminary field notes as the site was subsequently destroyed before the record could be completed. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
