Structure

What is recorded here

Situated c. 110m ESE of Cabhail Tighe Breac (CL009-001009-) in an area of limestone pavement and thin grass cover. Listed as ‘Clochan’ in the RMP (1996). A possible beehive hut was recorded at this location in 1996 (pers. comm. T. Coffey, SMR file). On inspection in 1998 this was found to be a modern oval structure (int. dims. 8m N-S; 5m E-W) defined by a drystone wall with stones set on edge. A subrectangular stone structure (CL009-001028-) lies 10m to the W and also appears to be modern. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 15 February 2016
