Freestanding three-bay double-height single-storey good shed, built c.1890. Now disused. Replacement pitched slate roof. Coursed random rubble limestone walls. Segmental-arch opening to middle of front elevation and round arched openings to gables, having dressed stone voussoirs. Square-headed window to front elevation with brick surround. Raised internal floor to road half. Six piers to inside rear wall of rear elevation. Square headed doorway towards station. Set on roadside with tracks to rear and random rubble boundary wall with coping of rubble set on edge.

This well built railway goods shed retains its original character despite being out of use since 1975. The large openings give the building its distinctive appearance. It was built by the Great Southern and Western Railway Company to serve the Athenry to Tuam railway line and is an integral element of the transport and civil engineering heritage of County Galway and also in ist social and agricultural history, having been a point of despatch for beet wagons for the Tuam Sugar Factory.
