Single-span railway bridge, built c.1900, over Abbert River. Now disused. Tooled ashlar limestone piers with draughted and sparrow-specked flat copings. Eight cast-iron metal beams to bridge surface supported by riveted cast-iron panels with single track over and cast-iron balustrade to west side. Inscription 'RW & S' on bolts to timber sleepers.

This railway bridge is a fine example of Ireland's nineteenth and twentieth-century industrial heritage and forms part of the Great Southern and Western Rail Network. Built of natural stone and cast iron it is an attractive industrial element within the landscape.
