What is recorded here

Two stones. One remains, leaning north inside a forestry plantation near Drimoleague. The other vanished after 1936, perhaps taken, perhaps buried, perhaps never real at all. What is left is a hole in the shape of a witness, waiting for someone to admit the loss.
