What is recorded here

Two stones stand together in County Clare, not hidden behind a wall or buried under grass. They are a pair, which means one does not complete the other without company. Perhaps they marked a boundary, a meeting place or a warning about what lives beside the road. Whatever they recorded, they are still making that request: see both, remember the difference between loneliness and partnership.
