Situated on the lower slopes of Knockmulanane, this site is comprised of a standing stone, now incorporated into a field fence, and a large prostrate slab which lies directly W of it and which may formerly have stood upright. The standing stone measures 2.8m in height and 1.4m x .9m at base, tapering slightly towards the top; E-W. The prostrate slab is triangular in outline and measures 3.1m x 1.5m x .45m in thickness. Likely dating to the Bronze Age, the pair of stones may have served a ritual or territorial function. Local folklore sometimes associates such stone pairs with ancient pathways or boundary markers.
