What is recorded here

Mud and mystery surround the broken Smithfield stone. Bowman measured five feet ten inches of girth on J. D. Ryan's land in 1934, yet even that much certainty has faded. The stone may still exist beneath grass, forgotten by the very field it once marked.

One of two standing stones (10165) recorded by Bowman (1934, 586) on J. D. Ryan's land; '...broken, remaining part, 1ft high by 5ft 10in girth'. Exact location not known.
