Standing stone in Shandrum Beg is an irregular stone aligned NE-SW, reaching 1.95m in height, set in pasture on a south-facing slope in County Cork. It may have marked a boundary, a memory or a warning, though no human name still stands beside it. In that case the stone itself is the whole story: a tall, stubborn witness on open ground, waiting for people to notice what it has always shown.
