What is recorded here

A single standing stone held the northern slope in Rathcoola West when the 1939 map caught it, but no trace remains now. It appeared and vanished between survey dates, suggesting human hands or forgetting changed the place rather than nature.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. Marked on 1939 OS 6-inch map as single standing stone. In waste ground, on N-facing slope. Removed; no visible surface trace.
