What is recorded here

Standing stone in Rahan stood on a NE-facing slope in County Cork, invisible to surveyors drawing maps in 1835 and 1905. It kept its own counsel until men removed it around 1968 and buried it nearby. The stone may have marked a boundary, a memory or a warning, but human hands erased its visibility while the earth swallowed the proof.
