Standing stone in Pallas (duhallow By.) is a vanished marker inside a levelled ringfort, reduced to memory and soil. It stood eight feet from the rampart, barely taller than a child, yet large enough to demand notice in the narrow northern quarter. The fort has disappeared, the stone has disappeared, and the field has forgotten the shape of both. What remains is a small absence, a hole in the land where something once pointed upward.

Bowman (1934, 677) recorded standing stone in NE quadrant of ringfort (12818), 8ft from rampart; '1ft 7in high by 8ft 3in girth. Ringfort levelled; no visible surface trace of standing stone.
