What is recorded here

Lisnapastee is a vanished burial ground inside a levelled ringfort where unbaptised children and possibly a man and child were laid to rest. The earth swallowed every marker, leaving no trace for the living to find or honour. What remains is a hollow absence, a place that erased its own dead instead of preserving them.

According to Bowman (1934, 677), interior of ringfort (12818) used as burial ground for unbaptised children. Ringfort levelled; no visible surface trace of burials or burial markers. According to local information, a man and child were buried here. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
