What is recorded here

One chamber is set into the hill, not buried. The other is missing, which means the chamber is incomplete and the chart is unfinished. Both facts are true. The first chamber is a place. The second is a warning about the boundary of the chart. To enter either, you must know which game is being played.

In rough hill pasture, on blanket bog, on the NE-facing slopes of Knocknagullion and within a network of relict field boundaries (KE091-114009-). This upright stone (0.82m x 0.35m; H 0.72m) is rectangular in plan and protrudes above the surface of the bog. It is orientated NNE-SSW. There is another standing stone (KE091-114003-) c. 120m to the SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Probably dates to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, given its form and context within a landscape of relict field systems. It may have had a ritual or territorial function, or marked a boundary in prehistoric land use.
