Standing stone in Lisballyhay stands in pasture on a W-facing slope in County Cork, Ireland. It is not a distant monument but a neighbour, a wedge-shaped marker with quartz catching light at its southern end. People may have passed it for generations, reading direction, luck or warning in its tilt. It still points south, steady among grass and rain.

In pasture, on a W-facing slope. This standing stone (1.5m x 0.45m; H 1m) is slightly wedge-shaped in section, rising to a blunt point towards its S end. It is subrectangular in plan and is orientated N-S. There is a significant amount of quartz running through the standing stone, especially at its S end.
