Laughil holds a fallen giant rather than a proud pillar. Its undressed stone lies across a northwest slope, tapering toward the south like a forgotten sentence cut short. Pasture and scattered rock have claimed it back, leaving only a low ridge for footsteps to brush past. What it stood guard over has stopped answering, but the shape still points somewhere.

On a NW-facing slope in an area of pastureland and outcropping rock. This standing stone is now recumbent. It consists of a large prostrate undressed subrectangular stone (L c. 1.9m) which tapers towards the S end It is partially covered by a small cairn of field-clearance boulders.
