Lackabane held a five-foot stone, broad as a man’s outstretched arms but thin as a door, standing on a north-facing slope until removal erased it without a trace. Condon measured its dimensions in 1916, capturing the last exact proof that the stone existed before pasture and forgetting took it back. The absence is sharper than the monument because nobody records when it fell or why it served.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on N-facing slope. Removed; no visible surface trace. According to Condon (1916, 141, no. 109) the stone measured 57ins H; Wth 54ins; T 11ins.
