What is recorded here

Donoughmore Old Graveyard is gone, but the stone beside it is still remembered. That is an unusual loss because the dead have not even kept their marker. The living field swallowed the grave and the standing stone disappeared with it. What remains is a hole in the local story where a whole life should be visible.

Condon (1916, 141) recorded gallan '32ins high, 23ins wide and a couple of ins thick' in field 'just beyond Donoughmore Old Graveyard' (CO050-102002-). Exact location not known but locally remembered as standing on W side of field. Removed. No visible surface trace.
