Lackabane in Muskerry East held a four-foot standing stone on a north-facing pasture slope before humans removed it without leaving a visible trace. Hartnett measured its cross section at three and a half by one and a half feet in 1939, capturing the last clear shape of a marker that older maps never bothered to draw. The stone may have guided herds, marked a boundary or waited for prayers, but its disappearance now forces imagination to fill the vacancy where solid rock once stood.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on N-facing slope. Removed; no visible surface trace. Hartnett (1939, 201) recorded 'stone 4ft H, and 31/2ft by 11/2ft in cross section'.
