What is recorded here

Lackabane in Muskerry East once held two standing stones, one recorded by Condon in 1916 and the other beside it. The first stood thirty-six inches tall with a broad flat face, tall enough to mark a boundary or gather people for a festival. Both have vanished without a trace, leaving behind only the memory of stone in an ordinary field.

Condon (1916, 141) recorded stone (H 36ins; 19ins by 11ins) 'in field adjoining' field in which standing stone (CO050-157----) stood. Removed; exact location not known. No visible surface trace.
