Knockagolig held a two-foot-six-inch stone with nine feet of girth on Thomas Field's land before the exact spot vanished. Bowman measured it in 1934, capturing a shape large enough to touch but small enough to overlook. The loss is not empty; it is a reminder that visibility and importance are different, and that even a forgotten stone can still occupy the mind.
