Inches, County Cork: a rectangular standing stone, two metres tall, aligned east-west on a south-facing grazing slope. It may have marked a boundary, a burial, a meeting place or a warning, though no human name remains attached to it.
In rough grazing on S-facing slope. Rectangular stone aligned E-W (H 2.04m; 0.62m x 0.4m). (O'Shea and Crowley 1972, 86). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
