What is recorded here

Mortons stands in an open pasture where sight runs unbroken to every horizon. The rectangular stone aligns northeast to southwest, rising nearly two metres with edges broad enough for a person to touch on either side. It is not a distant monument behind fences or a name forgotten in a book. It is a marker set where the land can be read at a glance, perhaps guiding someone home or warning them that the place was already claimed.

In pasture with commanding views in every direction. Rectangular stone aligned NE-SW (H 1.9m; 1.35m x 0.71m).
