No wall, roof or stone marker remains at Kilmacabea, only the graveyard and the name preserved in a county inventory. The church vanished before the 1903 survey, leaving behind a gap where a building should have stood. People may have prayed there, buried their dead there and forgotten the shape of the place entirely.
