Boulder-burial in Ballyroe is a chamber tomb where a large cover stone once rested on three supports, overlooking the Roury river valley and Corran lake. The cover stone displaced in 1988/89, revealing the simple chamber beneath. A second possible boulder burial stands sixty-five metres to the southeast, suggesting a small cluster of burial places rather than a lonely marker. The flat pasture and distant water give the site a quiet, exposed character, as if the dead were laid where the land could still be seen.

In flat pasture, on N side of low hill overlooking Roury river valley and Corran lake. Cover-stone (1.3m x 1m; 0.9m T) displaced, 1988/89, from above three support stones.
