Gortnabinny in County Kerry once held a tall gallan stone that leaned instead of standing straight. B. O Cíobháin recorded the marker before blasting removed it, depriving the field of its unusual shape. The exact spot has vanished, leaving behind a vacant patch of soil where human hands first saw the stone tilt against the sky.

B. Ó Cíobháin recorded 'a gallán' in this townland which was 'not standing straight…but high' and was 'blasted since' (SMR file). The precise location of this stone is not known.
