Standing stone in Garragort stood in Miss O'Brien's field until people removed it about twelve years before Bowman wrote in 1934. Its ghost still lies prostrate south of O'Briens' house, a long pale shape in the grass, perhaps two metres of forgotten warning or welcome. Whatever it marked, human hands changed the sky there, and the field kept the shape of the change.

Bowman (1934, 125) noted standing stone in 'Miss O'Brien's...removed about 12 years ago'. Stone (L 2.1m; 0.35m x 0.25m) lies prostrate in field to S of O'Briens' house.
