What is recorded here

Mentioned in the Archaeological Inventory of County Cork, the standing stone in Dromclogh stands on a north-facing slope above Whiddy Island and Bantry Bay. Its rectangular form aligns east-northeast to west-southwest, rising 1.23 metres from the pasture. In that exposed position, the stone may have marked a boundary, a meeting place or a warning about the sea below.
