What is recorded here

One of three possible scratching stones stands in Derrynasafagh, County Cork, a rectangular block aligned northwest to southeast on an east-facing slope. It rises 1.49 metres above the pasture, commanding the land and inviting people to read meaning in its shape. Whether for marking territory, guiding animals or simply enduring rain, the stone still performs its quiet purpose.
