Stand behind the stone in Corbally and it becomes a chamber, its edges pulling the sky inward. The boy forgot his name for nine minutes, not from fear but from the sudden understanding that he was small and the world was not pretending. When he returned, his hands had stopped shaking. The stone had not spoken. It had waited for him to stop adding voices.
