Carrowkilleen in tirawley By. holds one standing stone, a plain vertical marker in County Mayo. No date, event or named person appears in the available facts, so its age and purpose remain unknown. It may have marked a boundary, remembered a loss or guided travellers through open land. Under that uncertainty, the stone still performs its oldest job: it stands where people once watched it stand.
